Garmin’s Fenix 2 watch lets you choose your adventure

by GPS4US 2014-02-26 11:52

Well, adventuring just got better.
Garmin recently announced the new Fenix 2 adventure watch and, of course, it’s even better than the
original. A battery that lasts 50 hours in GPS mode and five weeks in watch mode is just the beginning.

“The Fenix 2 combines the very best fitness and outdoor technology from Garmin into an easy-to-use
wristwatch, making it the perfect training tool for multisport athletes,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice
president of worldwide sales. “Users can easily switch from advanced fitness training features like VO2
max, virtual partner and a recovery advisor, to the GPS tracking features like TracBack and ski mode,
all while staying connected with smart notifications and LiveTrack.”

Garmin says the Fenix 2 is the first Garmin wrist device to include advanced running and fitness
features. And can be paired with a heart-rate monitor to give you all the information you need for your
workout.

It’s also ideal for skiers and swimmers. And, of course, it comes with a high-sensitivity GPS and a
3-axis compass, mapping, navigation and GPS breadcrumbs for outdoor-lovers.

Bluetooth technology allows you to pair the Fenix 2 with a variety of sensors (cadence, power meter,
temperature…) and link it to your smartphone.

Further, you can mark up to 1,000 waypoints and use TracBack to get back to where you began.

The Fenix 2 will be available at GPS4US.com in March.
