Garmin’s Head-Up Display takes some of the danger out of driving

by GPS4US 2013-12-13 14:11

Distracted driving is dangerous driving.

But Garmin is helping to take some of the distraction away with the Garmin Head-Up Display (HUD).
Released over the summer, the HUD s helps you keep your eyes on the road, even when you need to check
your GPS for the next turn. How? It displays your turn-by-turn directions directly onto your windshield.

Previously, the HUD technology was only available in high-end luxury cars. But Garmin decided to make
the HUD accessible to all drivers. Right now, we are offering it for only $149.99.

With that low price point, the HUD has been an extremely popular item since its release. Not only is it
affordable and attractive, it’s easy to use. All you do is attach the transparent film to your
windshield, or attach the included reflector lens. Then put the HUD on your dashboard and wirelessly
link it to your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone. If you have an iPhone, you’ll need the Garmin StreetPilot
or NAVIGON app. NAVIGON also works for the Android and Windows Phone 8.

From there, just enter your destination and watch the directions magically appear directly in your line
of vision.

Perhaps the best part? If you order now, you’ll have the HUD in plenty of time for Christmas.
