New Garmin Forerunner 15 combines affordability, features

by GPS4US 2014-05-08 13:39

Your next fitness watch just got a lot more affordable, and a heck of a lot smarter.

Garmin Wednesday introduced the Forerunner 15 running watch, which offers advanced GPS features and
will cost just $169.99.

The Forerunner 15 will be available later this spring.

It tracks distance, pace, calories burned and personal records. Special editions track heart rate.

It also tells you when you’ve been sitting too long, and incorporates daily activity tracking and
calories burned throughout the day.

“As Garmin’s lowest priced GPS-enabled running watch with heart rate monitor and foot pod capabilities,
as well as daily activity tracking, Forerunner 15 is an affordable asset to enhance users’ workouts, as
well as their daily wellness,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales.

The GPS capabilities allow you to map your run and set your lap pace. The batteries last for five weeks
in tracking mode, or eight hours in GPS mode.

It’s the most affordable and effective way to track your runs and train for the next race.
