Parks Canada to hold geocaching contest in Ontario

by GPS4US 2013-06-21 17:30
Parks Canada recently announced a summer geocaching contest designed to give participants a unique view of Canadian history this summer.

The Heritage Hide’n’Seek Geo Tour, featured on, is made up of 16 geocaches around Ontario that contain facts about the people, places and events important to Canadian history.

You can find urban and remote caches in places like Algonquin Park, James Bay and the Manitoba border. You can earn points by finding caches and answering questions on their passport. If you collect more than 100 points, you are eligible for a collectible coin from Parks Canada.

For more information, check out the Heritage Hide’n'Seek GeoTour page on
