Features

This network fish finder for the NavNet 3D and NavNet TZ touch offers an updated bottom discrimination function and the Furuno Digital Filter (FDF) capability of the DFF1.

By analyzing echo characteristics such as particle size and hardness, the BBDS1 determines the bottom structures and separates them by mud, sand, gravel and rock.

Use your touch network to connect the BBDS1 to your NavNew 3D or NavNet Tztouch network. Your NavNet system will help you locate rich fishing grounds, boosting your catch.

You can select from the Standard and Probability bottom discrimination display modes. Standard mode shows you the most likely materials bottom materials – sand, mud, gravel or rock – in either graphic mode or a four-color bar at the bottom of the display.

Notes:
  • The shown results may sometimes differ from the actual bottom components.
  • For best performance, do not use in-hull mounted transducers with the BBDS1.
  • The BBDS1 may show incorrect ground discrimination results, especially if a large school of fish is swimming directly beneath the boat, preventing sufficient echoes from the bottom.
  • Shell, coral and sunken ships are the most similar material from the four bottom categories of mud, sand, gravel, or rock, according to reflected echoes.
  • Auto mode is automatically activated when you turn on the bottom discrimination function. (Manual mode is not selectable.)
  • The BBDS1 is not compatible with NavNet 1 or NavNet vx2.
  • Appropriate Furuno Transducer recommended for best results
