FeaturesNot only is the Foretrex 201 lighter than many watches, it also delivers hands-free GPS navigation in a waterproof package. The wrist-mounted navigator runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and is perfect for your kayaking, skiing or hang gliding adventure, or any other activity that requires both hands.
It really doesn’t matter where you are, because Foretrex 201 can tell you in an instant. Your device traces your path, shown as a dotted trail on the screen. Simply turn on Foretrex’s TracBack feature and follow the path back to where you began. You can also save 500 locations as waypoints, allowing you to mark all the important areas you need to remember. Your device also features a trip computer, sunrise and sunset times and hunting and fishing information. You can connect your Foretrex 201 to your PC with a serial cable.
If you’re sailing or competing in other events, Foretrex 201’s timers will count down to the start of the race and sound an alarm when you pass a certain time. You can resynchronize your timer whenever you need to, with just the touch of one button. You can easily read your data with the Foretrex 201’s large-number display. And, just like all Garmin handhelds, the Foretrex 201 is IPX7 waterproof and extremely user-friendly.
