AP24 System for Power and Sail Boats up to 70 Feet
Combines Space Saving Design with State-of-the-art Auto Steering

The most sophisticated small boat pilot on the market, the AP24 system features a complete set of Turn Patterns -
including Depth Contour Tracking, programmable S-turn, Zig-Zag, Continuous Turn, Square Patterns and many more.
Improved steering algorithms provide smooth and precise turns in any condition and improves tack and gybe
performance on sailboats. No Drift Course maintains the set Course Over Ground even in severe wind and current
conditions. Self calibrating features automatically compensate for the unique handling characteristics of your boat
and sea conditions, insuring optimum performance without the need for expert manual calibration. The system includes:

AP24 Control Head

Featuring intuitive pushbutton controls and a 3.75" LCD display, the compact AP24 control head provides a number of
data pages where you can view autopilot parameters such as compass heading, set course, rudder position, as well as
information received from other compatible equipment such as GPS navigation data and wind, depth and speed data.
Compass and rudder information can be displayed on Simrad IS20 instruments, and compass data can also be shared with
compatible radars. Expanded multi-station compatibility offers several control options including use of additional
Simrad Autopilot control units (AP24 or AP28), joystick, steering lever, or hand-held remote.

AC42 Autopilot Computer

The AC42 Autopilot Computer is the brains behind the Simrad autopilot system. It contains both the steering computer
and the electronics for the drive unit and also provides interface to other system components using the proprietary
SimNet data network and standard NMEA 0183 signals. The AC42 is designed to handle high current loads and larger
steering pumps, such as the RPU160. It includes 16 ft. of SimNet cable to connect to the display unit.

RC42N Rate Compass

The Simrad RC42N Rate Compass utilizes a solid state rate sensor and a magnetic fluxgate sensor to deliver
exceptional performance in adverse sea conditions and provide stable heading information to radars and other
navigation equipment. The RC42N compass is designed for connection to the SimNet network and will continue to
transmit heading information even if the autopilot is turned off. Comes with 18 feet of SimNet cable.

RF300 Rudder Feedback Unit

The Simrad RF300 provides high resolution rudder response to the course computer, contributing to the gentle yet
accurate steering that characterizes Simrad autopilots. The rotary style feedback unit is ideal for power and
sailing vessels with hydraulic steering systems. Includes 33' of cable.

RPU160 Hydraulic Pump

The RPU160 is a medium duty 12 Volt hydraulic pump capable of driving a steering cylinder with a capacity of up to
33.5 cubic inches.
