Garmin scores high in handheld GPS rankings

by GPS4US 2013-07-16 18:25
Every time a website or magazine releases a “best of” GPS list, Garmin seems to prominently involved.

And that’s not about to change with the recent handheld GPS rankings from UK gadget website T3.com.

Of the seven products T3 ranked, three came from Garmin. The Garmin GPSMAP 62CSx was first, while the Garmin Edge 800 took fourth and the Garmin Forerunner 210 GPS watch was fifth.

Of the GPSMAP 62CSx, T3 said: “Its versatile tech makes it perfect for hunters, mappers, geocachers and hikers with additional profiles for automotive and marine use too. Its rugged exterior is entirely rubberized for a comfortable grip so you can also hold it for long periods of time.”

The Edge 800 was a winner, too. The cycling computer offers loads of features for both competitive and leisurely cyclists. It pushes your training with Virtual Partner, and gives you all the maps you need to get the most out of your ride.

Finally, the Forerunner 210 earned high praise, as well. “If you’re an avid cyclist with minimal handlebar space, this might be the best GPS for you. This compact unit from Garmin will keep tabs on everything from your change in elevation, mapping trails, time and average speed.”

You can find the GPSMAP 62, Edge 800 and the Forerunner 210 at GPS4US.com, and you can also check out our entire line of handheld GPS units.
