For a refurbished unit this gps works really well. This is my 2nd refurbished unit and it''s used to navigate when I foot hunt hog with dogs . And the Shipping was super fast.

For compact device it is surprisingly good in map quality and zooms in to the fine level of details, I planned to use it for geocaching but it works great in the car and on the bike too. Touch screen is calibrated well and menus are convenient to use.

Owning it just for several days and getting acknowledged with this nice handheld, menu is simple and convenient, bright screen, lots of maps, very good GPS.

Rugged and waterproof with simple touchscreen and friendly user interface, my new Dakota came preloaded with World-wide topographic map out of the box. The screen is bright enough in direct sunlight. Overall this GPS is very easy to use.

It was a refurbished Version. Unfortunately it lost all maps and saved waypoints and tracks the evening of my first hike. I had to turn it in and still await the replacement. I liked it just for a couple of hours.

The GPS is great but there are occasions where the touch screen does not work properly. I''m trying to reach Garmin to see if this is a fault or what. Thanks for keeping in touch.

So far I am very pleased with my reconditioned Dakota 20. I did purchase the 2 year extended warranty just in case. I cannot tell that it reconditioned rather than new.

Not much opportunity to try it yet but so far it seems to be exactly what I was looking for!
