I love the Oregon - it is simple to use for what I do (archaeology surveys). Touch screen is easy to navigate and bloody tough too. It is a nice compact model.

A step up from my previous Garmin. Bought the map on DVD and downloaded. Still difficult to read on the LED, but better than the competitive models.

I really do love it. I bought it for one reason, it is to tell me if i am hunting in the right spot or not. With the state land owners maps, it is the best purchase i have made in 25 years. Thank you Garmin for the 450.

Great unit. Having never used a handheld GPS before it takes a little time to get used to all the features but after a short learning curve it does all it''s advertised to do.

he Garmin Oregon 450 is excellent! I have custom navigation charts loaded for the boat, OpenStreetMaps loaded for free navigation in the Car, and free Northwest Topo maps loaded for hiking. The suction cup car navigation kit makes a perfect add-on.

It will take me many months I am sure to completely get a feel for this GPS. Especially considering I am new to using them. However intitial tinkering shows a product that is easy to use and very functional.
