Features
NSE8 Fishing PackNSE8 8" Multifunction Display, GPS Antenna, and BSM-1 Sounder Module
Built to withstand the toughest conditions, the Simrad NSE8 is a stunningly fast, full-function chartplotter right out
of the box, supplied pre-loaded with HD Insight cartography. But that's just the beginning, as the Simrad NSE8 offers
owners the opportunity to add a wide range of modules and transducers that will extend its capabilities to include
functioning as a best-in-class echo sounder / fishfinder, radar display (both HD and broadband), AIS transceiver,
autopilot control, engine performance display and much more, all accessible from a single screen and displayed in the
format and combination of your choice.
Additional screens can be added, allowing you to configure your system for the size and number of nav stations on your
vessel. Each screen will function independently, allowing you to display the information you want in the manner you
prefer.
The NSE utilizes the GS15 GPS antenna (included), which provides position updates five times a second for superior
accuracy during high speed maneuvers.
Broadband Sounders provide outstanding capability to track bottom and see structure in deep offshore terrain and
canyons over 3,000 feet. The BSM-1 brings together a very clean, low power signal, an adaptable long pulse, and an
extremely sensitive linear receiver. The resulting high quality signal and the best digital signal processing allow the
BSM-1 to provide superior clarity and fantastic echosounder images.
Simrad's optional High Definition Digital Radar brings advanced signal processing, better target presentation and
better clutter rejection to your NX45 system. The Simrad High Definition Digital Radar antennas will meet your specific
needs with Radomes available in 2kW (18") and 4kW (24") models or Open Arrays in 6kW (4'), 10kW (6') and 25kW (7')
models. Also available is the innovative new BR24 Broadband Radar.
An optional Automatic Identification System receiver displays vital information from registered vessels onto your
chartplotter screen.
Simrad brings video to your helm. Connect a camera for deck monitoring, engine room surveillance, even underwater
views. Or connect a DVD player or camcorder for entertainment at your helm (a separate audio output system is required
for sound). There is also a high-definition DVI video output connector that allows you to display the screen image on
an external monitor or TV.
